Asian rockstar chefs

Nihao my good people.

In a parallel universe, I write for magazines and newspapers. I know, I know, what a sucker. I shoulda studied medicine, or law, or social work, or robot retailing (superglue and coat hangers, anyone?) Anything that pays better than journalism. But sometimes, just sometimes, you get a commission that makes your fingers prickle, the grey matter that sludges around my cranium takes on a more vital shade of rose, and just like that, I’m in story heaven. Here’s one I wrote for Food & Home Entertaining (Aug 2013), about a clutch of young Asian renegade chefs, who are ruffling kimonos with their MTV take on Asian classics… arigato!
